(MENAFN- Morocco World News) During the holy month of Ramadan, a group of over 70 imams and morchidates are holding conferences in various Spanish mosques.
According to Maghreb Arab Press (MAP) the trip is funded by the Ministry of Endowments and Islamic Affairs and the Hassan II Foundation for Moroccans Living Abroad in coordination with the Federation of the Union of Mosques in Spain. It aims to spread the moralities and precepts of an Islam that ''bans violence and extremism, as encouraged by Morocco'' to members of the Moroccan community in Spain, according to Federation of the Union of Mosques president Abdelaziz El Moudden. The ministry has made available 52 imams and morchidates, including 32 in places of worship in Madrid, and 20 in the Catalonia region.
