Oman- FSC discusses agricultural land fees

The Food Security Committee (FSC) at the Oman Chamber of Commerce and Industry held its second meeting at its premises on Tuesday.

The meeting, which was held under the chairmanship of Eng Saleh bin Mohammed al Shanfari, head of the committee discussed the efforts that have been made in order to activate FSC and to serve the agricultural and food sectors. It also discussed the issue of agricultural land fees.

The meeting also discussed preparations for a seminar on investment in food security projects, which is proposed to be held in Salalah next September under the theme, ''Investment Opportunities in Food Security Projects: Prospectus and Challenges''.

The committee proposed to invite a group of experts and specialists from the sultanate and abroad and highlighted the importance of establishing a one-stop station through which an investor in the field of food security can finalise procedures and obtain approvals.
