Oman- H E Dr Madeeha meets delegation from Cambridge University

Dr Madeeha bint Ahmed bin Nassir al Shaibaniyah, Minister of Education on Tuesday met a delegation from Cambridge University.

Dr Madeeha and the delegation discussed the expertise of the university in the development of international series in science, mathematics and English language.

The meeting was held as part of efforts initiated by the Ministry to hold discussions with international publishing houses specialising in the development of series in these subjects.

The ministry is currently studying the adoption of international series in science and mathematics due to the role played by these subjects, and the importance of benefiting from international expertise and contemporary trends.

The project aims to cope with the rapid development and progress in the field of science and mathematics while benefiting from the international experience and modern trends.

It will also help in keeping pace with changes in school curriculum, teachers'' guide, assessment methods and the use of technology. The ministry feels that these efforts will help raise the level of competence of students in these subjects and help them compete with their peers on a global level while raising the professional level of teachers in these subjects.
