Morocco's Economic Growth Stood at 4.5% in 2015
(MENAFN- Morocco World News) Morocco’s economic growth stood at 4.5 percent in 2015 against 2.6 percent a year earlier, the High Planning Commission (HCP) said.
The growth was supported by a strong external demand, the HCP added in an information note, noting that domestic demand was weak in 2015. Morocco's economic growth is also the result of a growth in agricultural value added (+12.8 percent), the source noted. Non-agricultural activities increased by 1.9 percent in 2015 against 2.5 percent a year earlier, the source pointed out. The evolution is also due to the increase by 6 percent in exports and the drop by 3.1 percent in imports, the source pointed out.
