Car bomb kills 14 people in northern Baghdad


(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) BAGHDAD, May 30 (KUNA) -- At least 14 people were killed in two car explosions northern Baghdad on Monday, said Iraqi police sources.

The first car exploded near a market in Sha'ab neighborhood, killing five and injuring 16 others, while the second bomb went off in Al-Tarmia town, killing nine and injuring 17, the sources told KUNA.

This is the second attack on Sha'ab markets in less than a month, as the neighborhood was rocked by an explosion which killed and injured dozens on May 17. (end) ahh.ag
