(MENAFN) A total of 1,581 properties in Turkey were sold to foreigners through the prior month, reflecting a 14.4 percent decline from the corresponding month last year.
Middle Eastern nationals topped the list, buying a total of 613 properties, followed by Afghanistan citizens who bought 115, and Russians who bought 96 properties.
Istanbul was the most popular province with 540 sales to foreigners, followed by Antalya with 360 house sales and the northwestern province of Bursa with 116 house sales.
Moreover, across Turkey, home sales deteriorated by 10.9 percent through the mentioned month compared to the same month of 2015, with a total of 106,348 units sold.
