Al Hassan Group secures a double at Oman Tech Awards

The Al Hassan Group of Companies (AHG) has been recognised at the first edition of Oman Tech Awards held at Shangri-La Barr al Jissah Resort & Spa recently.

It was a double achievement for Al Hassan when their website www.al-hassan.com won bronze medals in 'Corporate' as well as 'Oil & Gas' categories in the competition.

More than 300 entries from different industries competed in the 27 categories. The event was held under the patronage of Dr Rasheed bin al Safi al Huraini chairman of the Oman Tender Board. Ahmed Saleh Baabood chairman SJS Group attended it as a VIP guest.

Oman Tech Awards is the first event of its kind in the Sultanate of Oman and is themed asOman's Technology Event of the Year intended to identify nationwide talent both within the Omani and expatriate working fraternity and award the best talents.

The event offers a healthy competitiveplatform through which participants get the opportunity to earn recognition for their creative skills.

Speaking on the occasionP M Mathew head-IT Al Hassan Group said 'Oman Tech Awards aims at recognising national talent within the Omani and expat working community and award the best.

'We are happy to be a part of it extremely proud to bag two awards this time.Al Hassan is ranked among the Top Twenty Companies in Oman with strong presence in the corporate and oil & gas sectors. It is our resolve to make effective use of technology deriving process and efficiency improvement in our operations.' He added 'This award further reiterates our continued commitment to bring about an effective user-friendly digital communication platform for our stake holders.'

In previous years the Al Hassan Group's website has been consistently recognised in the corporate oil & gas and HSE categories at the Oman as well as Pan Web Awards.
