Egypt telecommunication sectors records USD 0.12bn growth


(MENAFN) According to the Ministry of Communications and Info Tech, who proclaimed a report in 2015, which indicated a decline in how much consumers paid for mobile internet services.

Furthermore, the cost of mobile services dropped from USD 2.9mn during Q4 of 2014 to USD 2.6mn in the same quarter of 2015.

Accordingly, the cost of using a mobile phone is calculated according to the price paid in advance for each 30 calls per month, distributed over the same mobile network.

The telecommunications sector's contribution to GDP increased by 7.3 percent through Q4 of 2015 compared to the same period of 2014, which reached USD 1.59bn.
