(MENAFN- Saudi Press Agency) The Executive General Supervisor of the General Organization for King Faisal Specialist Hospital and Research Center, Dr. Qasim Al-Qassabi opened activities of the Fourth World Congress on Radiology at King Faisal Conference Hall of Intercontinental Hotel here today.
In his opening speech, Dr. Al-Qassabi said that the hospital's radiotherapy department managed over the past year 2015 to conduct 20,000 remedial radioactive actions with high quality and efficiency, noting that the number of inpatients who visited the hospital's radiotherapy department raised up to 8% compared with 2013, where the department provides comprehensive services for patients with tumors by the state-of-the-art technologies in the field of radiation therapy and specialized cadres in accordance with international standards.
He pointed out that the Congress aims to bring together doctors, scientists and other health professionals to exchange views and discuss current clinical applications and other innovative future applications in the field of radiation medicine.
