(MENAFN- Daily News Egypt) President Abdel Fattah Al-Sisi met with his Sudanese counterpart Omar Al-Bashir and Ethiopian prime minister Hailemariam Desalegn on the sidelines of the Africa 2016 forum in Sharm El-Sheikh on Saturday.
The tripartite meeting is expected to discuss updates on the Grand Ethiopian Renaissance Dam (GERD), reviewing the progress of the Declaration of Principles signed in March 2015 and the progress of the tripartite meetings between the ministers of foreign affairs and water resources of the three countries.
Sudanese ambassador to Egypt Abdel Mahmoud Abdel Halim told Sudanese press the tripartite meeting is expected to boost progress between the three countries in terms of the technical aspects of the GERD.

The two French companies, Artelia and BRL, presented the conclusion of the three-day discussions with the three countries' technical committees on the study, which will identify the GERD's impact on Egypt's and Sudan's water shares.
