(MENAFN- Saudi Press Agency) The next step was the establishment of a specialized center to provide free services for children with disabilities and with the kickoff of construction work and preparation for the Association's first center the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud has offered many contributions to caring of this newborn center until he opened it on behalf of late King Fahd bin Abdulaziz Al Saud in 09/02/1407 AH corresponding to 13/10/1983 AD.
Since that date King Salman was continuing his generous patronage for the Disabled Children's Association without interruption where he patronized on behalf of late King Fahd bin Abdulaziz the first Conference on Disability and Rehabilitation which was organized during the period from 13-16/ 5/1413 AH corresponding to 08-11/11/1992 AD from which a number of important recommendations were issued and had received the approval of the Royal Court and holding the conference had wide positive effects at the level of services provided to children with disabilities including the National System for Persons with Disabilities adopted by the Council of Ministers.
