Oman- Muttrah roadside robbery caught on tape

A robbery in Muttrah that took place on Tuesday night has been caught on a CCTV camera.

The footage shows two men targetting a man and snatching mobile phones and his wallet.

The man a Bangladeshi national has filed a police complaint. The incident was captured by a surveillance camera outside a shop in the area.

It is being suspected that the two accused were also involved in a robbery attempt the same night near the Muttrah wholesale market sometime before robbing the Bangladeshi national.

A complaint filed with Muttrah police by two Indians says that two men threatened and demanded their money and valuables. They complainants were allegedly assaulted for refusing but managed to escape.

It is being suspected that around half an hour later the same men targeted the Bangladeshi national a little ahead from the spot of foiled attempt.
