Al Sadd thrash Al Gharafa


(MENAFN- Gulf Times) Doha: Suliman Abdi starred with 21 points as Al Sadd thrashed Al Gharafa 71-56 in the Qatar Basketball League last evening. Al Sadd led by just four points after the first quarter but increased the lead as the match went on.
Al Sadd soon pulled well clear in the second quarter with a nine-point lead and never looked back.
Saeed Erfan Ali and Kone Mohamed Deba also contributed 12 points each for Al Sadd, who had thrashed Wakrah in their previous match. For Al Gharafa Osaro Emmanuel scored 14 points, while Dwayne Kevin and Muslic Nedim had 11 each. In the first match of the day, Al Rayyan ran riot as they outplayed Al Ahli 94-57, with Dominic James top-scoring with 22. But the games's highest score from Jimmy Williams, who made 23 points.
Today, Al Khor will take on Al Shamal, while Al Wakrah face El Jaish.
