MoF celebrates 44th UAE National Day

DUBAI 26th November 2015 (WAM) -- The Ministry of Finance (MoF) yesterday took part in activities to mark the 44th UAE National Day in its premises both in Abu Dhabi and Dubai in the presence of Obaid Humaid Al Tayer Minister of State for Financial Affairs Younis Haji Al Khoori Under-Secretary of MoF and the assistant undersecretaries. The celebrations were attended by MoF employees customers and foreign tourists.

The National Day activities began with a recital of the UAE national anthem followed by traditional folklore performances and contests in which students from Salma Al Ansaria Primary School and Basic Education Primary School as well as schools in Abu Dhabi including Al Danat Primary and Secondary School for Girls Zayed The Second Boys Model School for Basic Education and Abu Dhabi Police Music Band took part.

The Ministry was keen to honor participants logistic providers specifically Civil Defense officials representatives from the General Department of Organizations Protective Security and Emergency Sharjah Social Empowerment Foundation as well as students and school administrations.

The Ministry also allocated a small exhibition space for Sharjah Social Empowerment Foundation products. This is to reflect its commitment towards supporting traditional handmade products. Organisers called upon visitors from Al Khoor Dubai to participate in these National Day activities to explore traditional UAE art and folklore.

On the occasion of the 44th anniversary of the UAE union Obaid Humaid Al Tayer Minister of State for Financial Affairs extended congratulations to His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan President of the UAE; His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai; Their Highnesses the UAE Supreme Council Members and Rulers of the Emirates H.H. Sheikh Hamdan bin Rashid Al Nahyan Deputy Ruler of Dubai UAE Minister of Finance.

He added: "Through the country's wise leadership and vision established by the late founding father Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan the UAE displays strong determination to continue building the nation and achieve more success. I would also like to take this opportunity to extent the Ministry's utmost efforts to achieve sustainable economic and financial development and support the cultural renaissance which is based on the principles of innovation in social economic and financial aspects."
