Established in 2010, TAKREEM mission identifies and honours Arabs who have excelled in their field and inspired others in their quest for cultural, educational, scientific, environmental, humanitarian, social and economic excellence. This year's award ceremony, where many Arabs were honoured, was held in Dubai in the presence of Sheikh Nahayan Mabarak al-Nahayan, UAE Minister of Culture, Youth and Community Development.
