UAE Ambassador meets Malawian Minister of Natural Resources Energy and Mining

BLANTYRE MALAWI 22nd November 2015 (WAM) --- Ambassador of the UAE to Tanzania and Non-resident Ambassador to Malawi Abdullah Ibrahim Al Suwaidi has met Malawian Minister of Natural Resources Energy and Mining Bright Msaka at the ministry.

During the meeting the two parties discussed bilateral relations between the UAE and Malawi and ways of bolstering them in the field of energy in particular. They also discussed the possibility of promoting fruitful and constructive cooperation between the public and private organisations of both countries.

The UAE ambassador gave an extensive explanation about the UAE's huge potential in the field of oil and energy.

He also spoke about Mubadala Development's operations in oil and gas exploration and other fields.

The ambassador stressed that Mubadala is interested in operating in Malawi.

The ambassador stressed to the Malawian minister that the leadership of the UAE takes great interest in Africa and noted that Emirati officials are working on attracting Emirati investors to Malawi.

The UAE ambassador also stressed the UAE's interest in building strong relations with Malawi in all spheres.
