'Digital cafeteria' opens
The Department of Information Systems has launched a new "digital cafeteria" service for people with special needs at the Ministry of Municipality & Urban Planning.
The initiative seeks to benefit the ministry's employees who have hearing and visual disabilities by facilitating their communication with the hospitality staff, according to a statement.
The service enables MMUP employees with hearing and speech disabilities to place precise orders at the cafeteria of their administrative unit by using the monitors of their desktop digital phones.
The "digital cafeteria" is one of the services provided by the department through the digital phone system. The department has advised all staff members with disability, who require this service, to contact the helpdesk at 444.
