Jordan- Senate president meets Chinese, Azeri envoys


(MENAFN- Jordan News Agency) Senate President Faisal al-Fayez, Wednesday, met with Chinese ambassador to Jordan Gao Yusheng and Azeri ambassador Sabir Aghabayov, who congratulated al-Fayez on his appointment him as Senate president.

Al-Fayez highlighted the advanced level Jordanian-Chinese ties have reached in various fields, namely, the parliamentary.

He noted to the agreements signed between the two countries, which positively reflected on the national economy and reduced poverty and unemployment.

The Chinese envoy voiced his country's desire to promote ties with the Kingdom in a wide range of fields, noting to His Majesty's recent visit to China which culminated in the signing of a number of agreements between the two countries.

Al-Fayez also met with the Azeri envoy and discussed with him the bilateral ties and means to further boost them, particularly, in the parliamentary sphere.

The Azeri envoy underscored efforts exerted by Jordan under the leadership of His Majesty the King to bring about peace and security in the Middle East region and the Kingdom's key role towards Syrian refugees.
