UAE participates in the GCC Civil Defence Leaders' meeting in Riyadh

ABU DHABI 25th October 2015 (WAM) -- Major General Jassem Muhammad Al Marzouqui Commander-in-Chief of the Civil Defence at the Ministry of Interior led a UAE delegation to the meeting of the General Directors of Civil Defence departments in GCC countries which was held in Riyadh recently.

The delegation included Colonel Mohammed Abdullah Al Nuaimi Colonel Sultan Saqr Al Suwaidi Colonel Mohammed Abdullah Al Tikawi and Lieutenant Colonel Sami Khamis Al Naqbi from the Directorate-General of Civil Defence.

The UAE delegation took part in discussions which tackled topics related to unifying safety requirements preventive supervision and aspects of cooperation in the various fields of civil defence among GCC countries in addition to ways to enhance collaborative relations between civil defense bodies in the GCC countries.

The meetings reflect the Gulf Cooperation Countries' interest in developing work among GCC countries in various fields and are based on the directives of the GCC Interior Ministers.
