Saudi King Denounces Political Exploitation of Mina Incident


(MENAFN- Qatar News Agency) Custodian of the Two Holly Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud stressed that irresponsible statements aimed at political exploitation of pilgrims stampede incident and causing dissension and division in the Muslim world will not affect the Kingdom's role and its great duty and responsibilities in the service of pilgrims and its permanent keenness on unifying Arab and Muslim ranks and the Kingdom will not allow any hidden hands to tamper with that.

This came today during a session of the Saudi cabinet under the chairmanship of the Custodian of the Two Holly Mosques.

Following the session, Saudi Minister of Culture and Information Dr. Adel bin Zaid Al Toraifi said in a statement carried by Saudi press agency (SPA) that the Cabinet denounced violations, provocative procedures and continuous attacks by Israeli occupation authorities and settlers on Al-Aqsa Mosque, the city of Al-Quds, the West Bank and the Palestinian people, stressing the calls made by the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, during his contacts with the presidents of effective states and the Secretary General of the United Nations for the need to exert serious and rapid efforts, and the intervention of the Security Council to take urgent measures to stop all Israeli violations.

The Saudi Cabinet welcomed the political agreement reached by representatives of the Libyan parties in Sukhairat city in Morocco on the formation of a national unity government, AlToraifi said.

The Cabinet condemned the terrorist bombing in the capital of Republic of Turkey, re-emphasizing the Kingdom's solidarity and standing with the Republic of Turkey in combating terrorism in all its forms and manifestations, he added.

The Saudi Cabinet also expressed its congratulations to the Government of the Republic of Yemen and the Yemeni people on the occasion of the return of the government and its carrying out its missions from the city of Aden.
