Jordan- UAE delegation visits the Mrajeeb Al Fhood camp


(MENAFN- Jordan News Agency) A delegation from the UAE Ministry of Development and International Cooperation visited on Friday the Mrajeeb Al Fhood camp for Syrian refugees to check on services offered to the refugees.

Deputy director of the camp Abdullah Al Shihhi briefed the delegation on stages of the camp's implementation as well as services it offer to Syrian refugees who fled to Jordan due to the ongoing crisis in their country.

Director of aid coordination department at the UAE ministry Rashid Salim Al Shamsi, who led the delegation, said that the aim of the visit was to follow up on the implementation of a $4 million-sewage project in the camp.

Mrajeeb Al Fhood refugee camp is a refugee camp for refugees fleeing the Syrian Civil War. It is located in Mrajeeb Al Fhood, a stretch of arid plains some 20 kilometers east of Zarqa city. It was opened in April 2013 and is funded by the United Arab Emirates.
