232 isolation rooms prepared for infectious disease cases during Haj


(MENAFN- Arab News) HOLY SITES: Keeping in view requirements of medical facilities during Haj 232 well-equipped isolation rooms have been prepared to deal with cases of infectious diseases according to an online newspaper.
Addressing a press conference Faisal bin Said Al-Zahrani spokesman of the Ministry of health said that those who are found to have
infectious diseases will immediately be shifted to isolation rooms to prevent the spread of disease.
Talking about Haj preparations Al-Zahrani said that 100 small ambulances have been made ready to work as mobile medical care units
to deal with emergencies. The ministry has deployed 25000 doctors technicians and other medical staff for the Haj season.
He said that 25 hospitals have been made ready of them five are in Arafat seven in Makkah and nine in Madinah. The Haj region's 5000 beds have been made available; of them 500 are for intensive care and 550 are for emergencies.
There are 155 health centers ready in the region. There are 18 medical points on both sides of the railway stations six points in Arafat six in Muzdalifa and six in Mina to make health and medical facilities easily available for Haj pilgrims said Al-Zahrani.
The ministry facilities conducted 1484 dialysis 252 cardiac catheterizations and 16 open-heart surgeries he said.
In the meantime Bandar Ba Raheem director of the Red Crescent said that the Red Crescent has 3640 employees 150 relief centers 5550 pieces of equipment and nine air ambulances ready for Haj.
