Peru stocks higher at close of trade S&P Lima General up 0.89%


(MENAFN- FxPro) Peru stocks were higher after the close on Wednesday, as gains in the S&P Lima Juniors, Mining and Non-Metal Minerals sectors led shares higher.

At the close in Lima, the S&P Lima General rose 0.89%.
The best performers of the session on the S&P Lima General were Panoro (LM:PML), which rose 17.65% or 0.015 points to trade at 0.100 at the close. Meanwhile, Buenaventura (LM:BVN) added 8.17% or 0.490 points to end at 6.490 and Corporacion Aceros Arequipa SA (LM:ARE) was up 2.22% or 0.010 points to 0.460 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Sider (LM:SID), which fell 3.85% or 0.005 points to trade at 0.125 at the close. Milpo (LM:MIL) declined 2.66% or 0.050 points to end at 1.830 and Aceros Arequip (LM:AREi) was down 2.58% or 0.009 points to 0.340.

Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Lima Stock Exchange by 13 to 11 and 6 ended unchanged.

Crude oil for October delivery was up 5.99% or 2.67 to $47.26 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in November rose 4.54% or 2.17 to hit $49.92 a barrel, while the December Gold contract rose 1.50% or 16.50 to trade at $1119.10 a troy ounce.
USD/PEN was down 0.20% to 3.2005, while EUR/PEN fell 0.53% to 3.6100.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.27% at 95.50.
