UAE spa tourism set for USD411m earnings in 2015

(MENAFN) The UAE has taken the first place among Arab countries in terms of spa tourism, with visitor numbers set to double by the next two years.

MENA region is the second fastest-growing market in the world for spas, behind Sub-Saharan Africa, with the UAE in particular being set for USD411 million in spa revenues for this year.

Other booming markets include Morocco, with 14.7 percent annual growth, Saudi Arabia, Jordan, and Algeria, also set to see increased annual wellness tourism prosperity to 2017.

"The Global Wellness Institute estimates that the top spa growth powerhouse, with exploding spa tourism trips from 2012-2017, will be the UAE, with 993,352 trips added and 17.9 percent annual growth," said its CEO.
