Peru stocks lower at close of trade S&P Lima General down 4.32%


(MENAFN- FxPro) Peru stocks were lower after the close on Monday, as losses in the Food&Beverages, Mining and Services sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Lima, the S&P Lima General fell 4.32% to hit a new 3-years low.

The best performers of the session on the S&P Lima General were Casa Grande (LM:CSG), which rose 1.97% or 0.060 points to trade at 3.100 at the close. Meanwhile, Grana Y Monter (LM:GRA) added 0.75% or 0.020 points to end at 2.680 and Sociedad Minera el Brocal SAA (LM:BRO) was unchanged 0.00% or 0.000 points to 4.500 in late trade.

The worst performers of the session were Minsur (LM:MINi), which fell 10.13% or 0.080 points to trade at 0.710 at the close. Atacocha (LM:ATB) declined 9.09% or 0.010 points to end at 0.100 and Empresa Agroindustrial Pomalca (LM:POM) was down 8.57% or 0.015 points to 0.160.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Lima Stock Exchange by 31 to 2 and 3 ended unchanged.
Shares in Minsur (LM:MINi) fell to all time lows; losing 10.13% or 0.080 to 0.710. Shares in Atacocha (LM:ATB) fell to all time lows; falling 9.09% or 0.010 to 0.100. Shares in Sociedad Minera el Brocal SAA (LM:BRO) unchanged to all time lows; unchanged 0.00% or 0.000 to 4.500.

Crude oil for October delivery was down 5.53% or 2.23 to $38.22 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in October fell 6.30% or 2.87 to hit $42.59 a barrel, while the December Gold contract fell 0.50% or 5.80 to trade at $1153.80 a troy ounce.
USD/PEN was up 0.09% to 3.2729, while EUR/PEN rose 1.94% to 3.7625.
The US Dollar Index was down 1.51% at 93.41.
