(MENAFN- Qatar News Agency) Roger Federer beats Novak Djokovic in straight sets 7-6 (7-1) 6-3 to win the seventh Cincinnati Masters title on Sunday.
The 34-year-old overcame the world No1 7-6 (7-1) 6-3 in one and a half hours and will now be the second seed at the US Open.
The win took Federer to a 21-20 edge in meetings with Djokovic as the Swiss gears up for his bid to win his sixth US Open title at Flushing Meadows in New York later this month.
Federer claimed his 87th career ATP title and his 24th trophy in a Masters 1000 event.
