The company raised C$500000 through a private placement with shares sold at a 10% premium to the previous ten-day average price. Virgin Money Holdings (LON:VM.) up 10.8%. An uplift in mortgage lending helped the challenger bank post a 37% increase in underlying pre-tax profit in its latest half year. Gross mortgage lending rose 44% to £3.6bn in the six months to June 30 compared to the same period in 2014  Informa (LON:INF) up 7.6%. Revenues rose 8.6% to £618mln in the first half of 2015 compared to the previous year with operating profit rising 14%. The company reiterated its profit expectations as it also appointed Datatec chairman Stephen Davidson and David Flaschen as non-executive directors. FALLERS Golden Saint Resources (LON:GSR) down 12.7%. Yesterday afternoon the company said it raised £250000 after issuing 312mln new shares at 0.08p per share plus 125mln warrants at an exercise price of 0.1p. Dialight (LON:DIA) down 10.5%. First half results revealed that despite revenues rising 14% operating profit dived 74% to £1.7mln from £3.5mln.  Dialight's chief executive Michael Sutsko instigated an operational review of markets products and geographies in the wake of the results. Royal Mail (LON:RMG) down 2.9%. Regulator Ofcom claimed RM breached competition law with price changes by launching plans earlier this year to change prices and terms. It later withdrew them after a competitor complained. Royal Mail said it was disappointed with Ofcom's findings. Below are the main news-driven share price movements at 9am. RISERS Melrose Industries (LON:MRO) up 15.6%. Shares jumped as it said it has agreed to dispose its Elster business to Honeywell International for £3.3bn. It will also return £2bn of that to shareholders. RSA Insurance (LON:RSA) up 11.75%. Zurich Insurance confirmed rumours that it is working on a takeover offer for RSA. Reports vary on the value of a potential deal with some suggesting an offer of £4.5bn is being discussed while others reckon its nearer £5.5bn. Drax (LON:DRX) up 9.74%. First half earnings rose about 15% as it swung to a pre-tax profit. Dividends will also be hiked in line with its policy. It warned however that it will be hit by changes to the climate change levy in the second half. FALLERS Trapoil (LON:TRAP) down 25.8%. The company is to buy Jersey Oil & Gas (JOG) for £495000 through the issue of 2.25mln shares. It also raised £800000 for working capital through the placing of 3.7mln shares. As part of the deal Andrew Benitz and Ronald Lansdell (founding shareholders and directors of JOG) will be appointed to the board as chief executive and chief operating officer respectively. Magnolia Petroleum (LON:MAGP) down 18.9%. It has decided to cut its losses with the newly drilled Shimanek 2 well in Oklahoma after too much salt water was encountered. Trinity Exploration & Production (LON:TRIN) down 17.4%.  The company won't complete the proposed acquisition of Blocks 1(a) and 1(b) offshore Trinidad it said in a statement after Monday's close.
