Two people killed, 23 injured in blasts in Baghdad


(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) Two people were killed and 23 others injured in three separate explosions that occurred in a number of areas of the Iraqi capital, a security source said Saturday.

An IED went off earlier near a popular market in Obeidi district, eastern Baghdad, killing one person and wounding eight others, the source in Baghdad operations command told KUNA.

In southern Baghdad, a car bomb exploded near a local commercial complex in Muaskar Al-Rasheed Street, injuring 14 civilians and causing severe property damages to nearby commercial stores and civil cars.

Another IED went off in Al-Sayyafiah area, southern Baghdad, killing one civilian and wounding one. (end) mhg.ma
