Canada's Wholesale trade increases 1.9 percent in April

(MENAFN) Canadian Wholesale trade increased by 1.9 percent in April, marking the second rise two months in a row and beating analysts' forecasts driven by strong performance in the auto and machinery sector, Wall Street Journal reported.

The upsurge gave an optimistic vibe that despite the struggling Economy due to the decrease in energy prices, the Canadian economy could somehow rebound and yield some growth in the near future.

"The increase in wholesale volumes is good news and it will offset the earlier-reported drop in" a senior economist at National bank financial in Montreal said in a statement.
