Earthquake Strikes Off Japan's Northeast Coast


(MENAFN- QNA) An earthquake measuring 5.9 magnitude on the Richter scale struck off Japan's northeast coast on Monday.

The quake was 80 km (50 miles) deep and centered 132 km (82 miles) north northeast of Hachinohe, Honshu, the U.S. Geological Survey said.

There were no immediate reports of injuries or damage.
