Qatar's Deputy PM arrives in Sudan


(MENAFN- Gulf Times) HE the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of State for Cabinet Affairs Ahmed bin Abdullahbin Zaid al-Mahmoud arrived here yesterday to represent Qatar at the inauguration ceremony of Sudan's President Omar Hassan al-Bashir today for a new five-year term.

HE al-Mahmoud was welcomed at Khartoum International Airport by Assistant President Abdurrahman al-Sadiq al-Mahdi, Federal Health Minister Bahar Saad Abu Garda, Minister of State at the Presidency Dr Ahmed Fadhul and Qatar's ambassador to Sudan Rashid bin Abdurrahman al-Nuaimi.

In a statement to reporters on arrival at Khartoum International Airport HE al-Mahmoud said he was assigned by HH the Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad al-Thani to represent Qatar at the celebrations marking the inauguration of President Bashir.
