(MENAFN) Cinemas throughout the United Arab Emirates accumulated a total of USD161.63 million in gross box-office receipts last year, up from USD148.39 million in 2013, Gulf News reported.
According to approximations, a number of 14.12 million tickets were dealt at cinemas across the UAE through last year. Other competitive regional markets are Kuwait with over USD51.58 million in 2014 and Lebanon with USD31.36 million.
"The UAE is a mature market compared to the rest of the region ... but there is still growth. If you know your business you can find untapped potential." The Managing Director of Novo Cinemas and Group CEO of ELAN said in a statement.
