(MENAFN- Gulf Times) The Education Institute at the Supreme Education Council (SEC) has decided to reduce the school
day to six hours at all Independent schools due to the scorching summer heat, local Arabic daily Arrayah has reported.
The school day ends at noon with this decision, which came into effect yesterday. Some international schools have announced Ramadan timings from 8am to 1pm.
