Ministry of Health issues statement on heinous terrorist attack in the town of Qudayh, Qatif province


(MENAFN- Saudi Press Agency) The Ministry of Health issued a statement today highlighting in detail its medical efforts in response to the heinous terrorist attack in the town of Qudayh, Qatif province.

The ministry confirmed that since the first moments of the occurrence of heinous terrorist attack which took place in the mosque of Ali bin Abi Talib in the town of Qudayh, province of Qatif, medical services declared a state of maximum alert of the medical crews who began dealing with the incident immediately after its occurrence.

Cases were sorted at the scene and were provide therapeutic and ambulance services in addition to the participation of other backers, the statement said.

In the statement, the ministry said that it mobilized its energies from the first moments and declared a state of emergency in hospitals in the eastern region to receive the injured.

It stated that the vicious attack resulted in the injury of 109 cases, including 21 deaths and (88) injury cases of which (58) cases were admitted for treatment.

The number of critical cases were (12) cases while (30) injured people left hospital after receiving necessary treatment, the statement said.
