GCC leaders start 15th consultative summit in Riyadh


(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) Leaders of the six-member Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) kicked off their 15th consultative summit in Riyadh on Tuesday.

The summit, chaired by Saudi King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al-Saud, is attended by His Highness the Amir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, Amir of Qatar Sheikh Tamim Bin Hamad Al Thani, Bahraini King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, UAE Vice-President and Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum and Representative of Sultan Qaboos bin Said of Oman, Shihab bin Tariq Al Said.

French President Francois Hollande is attending part of the summit as a guest of honor.

The one-day summit, with no agenda or final statement, discusses a host of issues on the GCC march as well as regional and international developments, with the crisis in Yemen and Iran's nuclear program on top.
