UAE, Morocco mull bilateral relations


(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) Crown Prince of UAE's Abu Dhabi Sheikh Mohammad bin Zayed Al Nahyan held talks on Monday with visiting King Mohammed VI of Morocco on ways of boosting brotherly relations in different fields.

The two sides discussed political, economic and developmental issues of common interest and the means to enhance them to wider horizons in line with the visions of the two leaders, which aims at deepening relations and strengthening cooperation, solidarity and diverse partnerships, said an official statement carried by Emirates News Agency (WAM).

UAE-Morocco relations are solid and deep and translate core principles of cooperation and mutual respect, it added.

The two leaders noted that their countries share views on regional and international issues and back regional and international efforts to restore security and stability in the region.

They also underlined the importance of coordinating and consulting with each other to unify visions towards common positions regarding the joint Arab action and solidarity to address challenges that affect Arab national security, including dangers of the "terrorist" groups in the region, the statement said.

Sheikh Mohammad, also Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, said that "what unites UAE and Morocco is a long history of cooperation and joint fraternal relationship", it pointed out.

For his part, King Mohammed VI expressed his appreciation to UAE's President and his interest in establishing distinguished relations with Morocco.
