VIVA posts KD 10.3 mln profits in 1Q


(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) Kuwait Telecommunications Company (VIVA) said on Sunday it had posted profits of KD 10.3 million (USD 34.1 million) for the first quarter of 2015, up KD 1.74 million (USD 5.7 million) compared to the same period in 2014.

Total shareholders' equity reached KD 60.3 million in three months that ended on March 31, 2015, compared to KD 18 million for the same period of last year, VIVA said in statement on the Kuwait Stock Exchange (KSE) website.

Overall assets reached KD 232.4 million, while total liabilities touched KD 172 million for the first quarter of 2015, compared to KD 161 million for the first quarter of 2014.

VIVA was founded in 2008 and listed in the KSE in 2014, with a KD 49.9 million (USD 165.44 million) paid-up capital.
