Kuwait FM leaves Riyadh after GCC meeting


(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) First Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Sheikh Sabah AlØ¢­Khaled Al-Hamad AlØ¢­Sabah left Riyadh Thursday after participation in a preparatory meeting of the GCC Ministerial Council.

Sheikh Sabah Al-Khaled was seen off at the Riyadh Air Base Airport by Kuwait's Ambassador to Saudi Arabia Sheikh Thamer Jaber Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah and several Kuwaiti diplomats.

The meeting, chaired by Qatar's Foreign Minister Dr. Khalid Al-Attiyah, discussed a number of key issues related to the GCC march, the latest developments in Yemen, the Palestinian issue and Iran's nuclear file.

The gathering's outcome will be referred to the 15th consultative meeting of the GCC leaders due in Riyadh on May 5.

The Kuwaiti delegation led by Sheikh Sabah AlØ¢­Khaled includes Director of the Foreign Minister's Office Ambassador Sheikh Dr. Ahmad Nasser AlØ¢­Mohammad AlØ¢­Sabah, Director of the GCC Affairs Department at the Foreign Ministry Ambassador Nasser Hajji AlØ¢­Muzain and Ambassador Sheikh Thamer, as well as a number of ministry officials.
