NBAD participates in National Career Exhibition in Dubai


(MENAFN- Emirates News Agency (WAM)) The National Bank of Abu Dhabi, NBAD, is set to participate in "Careers UAE 2015" to be held from 28th to 30th April at the Dubai International Convention and Exhibition Centre.

NBAD's participation in Careers UAE is part of its Emiratisation objective for 2015 to hire 100 UAE nationals across the country.

Ehab Hassan, Senior Managing Director and Group Chief Human Resources Officer at NBAD, said, "We are committed to Emiratisation and support the government's efforts to increase the number of UAE nationals in the private sector. This year, we have 100 vacancies awaiting talented and enthusiastic UAE nationals."

"Our Emiratisation strategy in NBAD goes beyond hiring people. We strive to equip fresh graduates and experienced professional with the required knowledge and skills through numerous trainings and career plans," Mr. Hassan added.

In line with its Emiratisation strategy, NBAD has launched several initiatives to develop and maximise the potential of UAE nationals in different stages. For instance, under the AFAQ Management Trainee Programme, NBAD sponsors a Master's Degree in Finance by recruiting fresh university graduates who exhibit great motivation and the potential to grow into future leaders.

The bank also offers Tomouh Programme to young UAE nationals who demonstrate exceptional academic achievements to pursue Bachelor Degrees at prestigious international universities. In addition, NBAD sponsors enrolled university students by paying a monthly allowance through Mustaqbali Programme. The UAE nationals in these programmes are guaranteed internship and recruitment upon graduation.

Amani Al Khaledi, Head of Emiratisation at NBAD, explained, "Our Emiratisation initiatives are designed to equip youth with the knowledge and develops their skills to meet the market demand for qualified Emiratis."

During the career fair, NBAD offers onsite interviews to the candidates. It also brings representatives from different divisions to give insight into division and career opportunities.

In recognition for its achievements, the bank has recently received the Human Resources Development Award in banking sector, an award the bank won in 2004 and 2009, for its outstanding human resources policies and development initiatives.
