Arab states, Turkey to bolster economic ties


(MENAFN) The Turkish and Arab minsters of economy agreed on making all possible procedures to strengthen the economic and trade cooperation between the involved parties, Kuwait News Agency reported.

The ministers agreed on creating joint official boards, developing projects to escalate the trade and economic exchange between the Arab world and Turkey.

Among the issues agreed upon are emphasizing and motivating a competitive atmosphere for the products of Turkey and the Arab world on the international level.

In addition, the ministers called for inaugurating a study for creating a free trade zone between Turkey and Arab countries; the signing of an Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) tariff protocol was made.
