Saudi monarch receives Tony Blair in Riyadh


(MENAFN- The Journal Of Turkish Weekly) King Salman bin Abdulaziz of Saudi Arabia on Sunday met with Middle East Quartet envoy Tony Blair in capital Riyadh.

During the meeting, the two sides "discussed the developments of the Palestinian issue, and the Quartet's efforts in achieving a just and comprehensive peace in the region," Saudi's official press agency reported.

The meeting was attended by Crown Prince Muqrin bin Abdulaziz, Deputy Prime Minister Abdulaziz bin Abdullah, and Minister of State Musaed bin Mohammed Al-Aiban, the agency reported.

Blair arrived in Riyadh from Bahraini capital Manama, after a meeting with King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa of Bahrain during which they discussed regional developments and the Palestinian issue.
