Man jailed for using stolen ATM card in Qatar


(MENAFN- Gulf Times) A Nepalese man was sentenced to one year in prison, followed by deportation for using a stolen ATM card to withdraw QR1,150, local Arabic daily Arrayah reported yesterday.

A Doha Criminal Court also convicted him for stealing QR900 from the owner of the ATM card. The victim, who used to share a room with the accused, had kept his ATM card and personal identification number in a bag. Later, he found that they were stolen along with a sum of QR900.

On further investigation and review of the bank surveillance cameras, the accused was identified and arrested. He also confessed to the crime.
