(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) Bahraini King Sheikh Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and the Envoy of Middle East Peace Quartet Tony Blair discussed Saturday the current situations in the region and latest developments on both regional and international arenas.
Blair briefed King Hamad on the efforts of the Quartet to resume the peace process, the Royal Court said in a statement carried by the official Bahrain News Agency (BNA).
The King lauded Blair's role in boosting historic relations between Bahrain and Britain, it added.
The King also expressed his hope that Blair's efforts and political experience would push forward regional and international efforts to achieve just and comprehensive peace in the Middle East, it noted.
