UAE's Majid Al Futtaim to expand USD680m Carrefour in Africa and Asia


(MENAFN) Majid Al Futtaim, UAE-based retail developer, is set to expand its USD680 million Carrefour in Africa and Asia to help yield more growth, Arabian Business reported.

Majid Al Futtaim's Carrefour is considered as the world's second biggest retailer after Walmart. The UAE firm wants to expand Carrefour into Kazakhstan, Azerbaijan, Georgia and Armenia.

According to the chief executive of Majid Al Futtaim, the firm also aims at capitalizing on the growth of digital retail, launching a new website to enable customers of buying groceries online.
