Flydubai net profit surges 12.3 percent in 2014


(MENAFN) Low-cost carrier flydubai announced posting an increase of 12.3 percent in its 2014 net profit as the Dubai-based airline expanded its network further, Gulf Daily News reported.

The carrier logged a net profit of USD68.1 million, with revenue growth hitting 19.1 percent over a year ago to USD1.19 billion in the 12-month period, the airline said in a statement.

A total of 7.25 million passengers travelled with flydubai during the year, as it added 23 new routes, taking its network to 86 destinations and increasing frequency on some existing routes.
