Bayer Group Inaugurates Amman Offices


(MENAFNEditorial) Bayer Group announced the inauguration of a new office building for its employees in Amman. The opening ceremony was held on 1 March, 2015, in the presence of the Group's regional management. The new offices will accommodate Bayer's Life Science businesses, HealthCare and CropScience, in addition to more than 60 employees.

"The inauguration of the new state-of-the-art offices underscores Bayer's commitment to Jordan and the Levant region as a whole," commented Harald Liedtke, Managing Director of Bayer Middle East. "Bayer has a long history in the Middle East and has been present for 80 years in Jordan and Lebanon." Liedtke continued and highlighted the significance and potential of the Middle East for the whole Bayer Group.

In turn, Yazan Al-Ahmad, General Manager of Bayer Group Levant, stated, "We are excited to open our new Bayer offices in Jordan, which is considered a prime hub within the Levant. This step also corresponds with our ongoing efforts to live up to our mission statement - Bayer: Science For A Better Life. We remain dedicated to introduce our product innovations to Jordan and the Levant, and continue to implement multiple awareness campaigns, especially in the HealthCare field."

According to 2014 results, Bayer Group currently employs approximately 800 staff in the Middle East. During 2014, various Bayer Group activities in the region grew by 6% - currency adjusted - compared to the previous year, resulting in more than EUR 500 million in sales, with the Levant region accounting for nearly 20% of the mentioned figure.
