Arab League condemns attacks on Algeria embassy in Tripoli

(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) Secretary-General of the Arab League Nabil Al-Araby on Sunday sharply condemned a recent "terrorist" attack that took place near the Algerian embassy in the Libyan capital of Tripoli.

Earlier on Saturday, at least three people were injured in a bomb attack against the Algerian embassy in Tripoli.

The secretary-general said in a statement this "criminal act comes within the context of terrorist operations targeting diplomatic missions' headquarters in Tripoli and violates international laws and charters".

Al-Araby lamented that such "terrorist acts" only aim to terrify the Libyan people and undermine ongoing Arab and international efforts to support the peaceful solution to the Libyan crisis.
