Landmine clearers, Supreme Court official killed in Afghan violence


(MENAFN- Saudi Press Agency)   Twelve people working to clear landmines in southern
Afghanistan were killed by gunmen Saturday, while in Kabul a Supreme
Court official was shot dead and 14 people were wounded in separate
attacks, authorities said, according to dpa.

Afghan security forces killed three of the insurgents who shot dead
members of the de-mining team in Helmand Province, said Omar Zwak,
the provincial governor's spokesman.

Four other gunmen were captured, he said.
