Man woman found dead in separate cases in Sharjah


(MENAFN- Khaleej Times) The Sharjah Police are investigating two separate cases in which a man and a woman allegedly committed suicide in their rooms.

According to the police they received a call from a labour accommodation in Al Sajja area on Wednesday about the death of a 26-year-old Bangladeshi worker identified as A.C. The police went to the site and found the man hanging from the ceiling of his room. The police collected evidence lifted fingerprints and shifted the body to the forensic laboratory. The police said the man committed suicide after his roommate left for construction work.



In the second case a 25-year-old woman was found dead in her room at her house in Al Garayen area on Wednesday. The deceased identified as J.S. is the mother of a three-month-old baby.



The police said a family member heard the baby crying and went to the room to check. The father-in-law knocked on the woman’s door and found it locked. He then opened the window and saw the lady lying on the floor. The father-in-law called the police who rushed to the site and found the woman in her room with a thick gold chain next to her. The police said the woman’s husband was not at home as he had gone to attend the opening of the book fair. The initial police report revealed that the woman died of strangulation. The police shifted the woman’s body to the forensic department and launched an investigation.
