Hill Int'l signs USD50.9m contract for Dubai's Parks project


(MENAFN) Hill International announced signing a contract with Meraas Leisure and Entertainment to provide show and ride construction management consultancy services for the first phase of the Dubai Parks & Resorts development, Arabian Business reported.

The contract, which is set to last for two years, has an estimated value of USD50.9 million, and will focus on the first phase of the project which will include the construction of three theme parks: Motiongate Dubai, Bollywood Parks Dubai, and LEGOLAND Dubai.

The phase will also feature Riverpark, a grand entrance plaza and Lapita, a family themed hotel, and is scheduled to be done in 2016 with ground work starting in February, 2015.

The project, which aims to help Dubai reach its target of attracting 20 million tourists by 2020 and was first announced in 2012, will cost USD2.77 billion to build.
